Missouri USSSA A/B Qualifying Procedures

For Missouri USSSA, teams can qualify in one or two possible scenarios:

Fall Qualifying

Direct Berth: For direct berths in all fall Missouri USSSA Tournaments, one berth will be awarded up to 12 teams. Two berths for divisions greater than 12. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one event after March 1, and MUST participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament.

At-Large Berth: For the 2011 season, the Fall tournaments will only give 1/2 credit for the at-large qualifying.

Spring/Summer Qualifying

Direct Berth: For direct berths in all Missouri USSSA Tournaments, a sliding scale will be used to determine the number of berths awarded per division. For 1-8 teams, one berth will be awarded. For 8-14 teams, 2 berths will be awarded. For 15 or more teams, 3 berths will be awarded. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament.

At-Large Berth :
10U-14U Teams: Teams that participate in five (5) USSSA qualifying tournaments (in any state) AND participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament will be awarded a USSSA World Series berth. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament. (Reminder, all fall events gave 1/2 credit towards at-large berth)

15U-18U Teams: Teams that participate in three (3) USSSA qualifying tournaments (in any state) AND participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournamentwill be awarded a USSSA World Series berth. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one event after March 1st, and MUST participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament. (Reminder, all fall events gave 1/2 credit towards at-large berth)

State Tournament Qualifying

All teams will qualify for the Missouri USSSA State by participating in a USSSA sanctioned event. All sanctioned leagues and tournaments will fulfill this requirement.

World Series Requirements

Once a team earns a USSSA World Series Berth, they are still required to participate in a Missouri (or MO-Kan for C teams) State Tournament. Please be sure to make arrangements and plan on this when making your season schedule.

Missouri USSSA C Qualifying Procedures

For Missouri USSSA, teams can qualify in one or two possible scenarios:

All teams must participate in a USSSA Summer State Tournament (Missouri or MO-Kan) to fulfill any awarded berth for a USSSA "C" World Series.

To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one tournament after March 1st, and the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament.
15U-18U Teams: Teams that participate in three (3) USSSA sanctioned events (league or tournaments - in any state) AND participate in the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament will be awarded a USSSA World Series berth. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one tournament after March 1st, and the Summer Missouri USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament.

**Teams may be asked to participate in additional tournaments at the "B" or "C" level to verify or determine eligibility in Class "C".
